Premium Fresh-Frozen Scallops

Fresh scallops on the half shell, each one carrying its bright orange roe. The roe is the part that carries the deepest flavour, and it is what separates a good scallop dish from a memorable one. The adductor muscle beneath is thick, sweet and glossy.

Because they arrive on the half shell, they are ready for the grill or the oven with nothing more than a little garlic butter or a scattering of spring onion. Sear them in a hot pan for a minute a side to get a golden crust and a soft, custard-like centre.

High in protein and minerals including zinc and iron, scallops are a genuinely luxurious shellfish that takes very little effort to get right. Supplied fresh and chilled.
